About Us — White Lake Pastoral Charge

Who We Are

White Lake Pastoral Charge is part of the United Church of Canada and brings together St. Andrew’s United churches in White Lake, Burnstown, and Calabogie. We gather to worship, care for one another, and serve our neighbours with compassion and faith.

The three congregations have shared ministry as one pastoral charge since 1947. Each church maintains its own community identity while sharing leadership, worship life, pastoral care, and a commitment to the wider Renfrew County community.

We are a congregation where all are truly welcome: people of every age, background, and stage of faith. Our doors are open, our hearts are warm, and our table has room for everyone.

United Church of Canada

We are a proud member congregation of the United Church of Canada, the country’s largest Protestant denomination. Formed in 1925 through the union of Methodist, Presbyterian, and Congregationalist traditions, the United Church is committed to an open, affirming, and socially engaged faith.

The United Church believes in the dignity and worth of every person, the importance of justice and peace in the world, and the transforming power of God’s love. These convictions shape our worship, care, and community relationships.

We are part of the Eastern Ontario Outaouais Regional Council, connecting us with United Church communities of faith across eastern Ontario and western Quebec.

The Communities We Serve

White Lake Pastoral Charge is woven into the life of three Renfrew County communities.

Our pastoral charge serves White Lake, Burnstown, and Calabogie, three communities connected by the lakes, rivers, farms, villages, and rural roads of Renfrew County.

Our congregations share a grounded, neighbourly spirit. We are people who gather in faith, support one another through life’s changes, and welcome visitors and newcomers into community.

From Sunday mornings filled with hymns to midweek conversations over a cup of tea, the life of our pastoral charge is lived in these communities every day. We are honoured to serve them.
