Worship & Services — White Lake Pastoral Charge

Gathering Together in Faith

At White Lake Pastoral Charge, worship is at the centre of our common life. We gather to sing, pray, hear scripture, reflect, and encourage one another on the journey of faith. Services are rooted in the traditions of the United Church of Canada and shared among our three congregations.

Whether you are a lifelong worshipper or attending a church service for the very first time, you will find a congregation that is genuinely glad you are here. We reserve no pew, place no conditions, and ask only that you come with an open heart.

Our Worship Style

Scripture & Sermon

Each service centres on a scripture reading and a sermon that connects ancient wisdom with the realities of daily life. We draw from both Testaments, following the Revised Common Lectionary used by the United Church of Canada.

Music & Hymnody

Music is the soul of our worship. We sing from Voices United and More Voices, the United Church hymnals, blending traditional hymns with contemporary songs of praise. Our choir and musicians lead with heart and skill.

Prayer & Sacrament

Prayer is woven throughout every service — intercessory, thanksgiving, and silent. We celebrate the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion in accordance with United Church practice, welcoming all to the table.

Special Services & Celebrations

Throughout the year we mark the seasons of the Christian calendar and life’s milestones together.

Christmas Eve Service

A candlelight service of scripture, carols, and prayer as we welcome the light of Christ into the darkest night of the year. Beloved by families for generations.

Sunrise & Easter Services

From the solemnity of Good Friday to the joy of Easter Sunday, we celebrate the resurrection at the heart of our Christian faith with special services throughout Holy Week.

Remembrance Day Service

We remember those who served and sacrificed through prayer and gratitude, joining communities across Canada in solemn remembrance.

Baptisms

We celebrate the sacrament of Baptism as a joyful act of welcome into the family of faith. Parents, families, and the whole congregation share in this milestone together.

Confirmations

Young people and adults who wish to affirm their faith are welcomed through a period of preparation culminating in a moving Confirmation Sunday service.

Weddings & Funerals

Our pastoral team is honoured to officiate weddings, funerals, and memorial services, providing compassionate spiritual leadership during life’s most significant moments.
